Personal Blog: Fun happenings from the past 3 months.

Long time no post.  Sorry, Blog.  A lot has happened since I've written here last.

1.) Disney
There was so much drama in other parts of my life that I didn't make a proper post-Disney Trip Post.  I actually took a "spring break" this year, and visited my sister in Disney World through Easter.  It was nice to hang out as just the both of us.  She's a best friend, and we had a lot of fun just hanging out.
Some highlights of the trip: Jellyrolls (dueling piano bar... just amazing), watching the Muppet Movie and Wishes on the Polynesian's beach, gelato in Epcot!Italy, taking Marissa to Islands of Adventure for her 1st time, eating at the Three Broomsticks, Disney's Animation Academy, Magic Kingdom on Easter Sunday, and FINALLY seeing Wishes!
Now some pictures:
Marissa and me in Epcot!Germany trying on tiaras. :)
 Hogwarts!
The Universal Studios picture that everyone should have if they visit.
Butterbeer mustaches (and me looking ghostly with my reapplied sunblock..>_<)
 Hollywood Studios
 Space Mountain on Easter
Last day in Disney.  We stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort (again.)  It's such a beautiful place.  We were in a different building this trip, and closer to a bus stop.  The room was cute too, especially with the Princess and the Frog art (it took us until the 3rd day to figure out it was Princess and the Frog and not just art of New Orleans) on the headboards of the beds.
On the Magic Express ride to the airport, they were playing the Wishes song.  Thanks Disney, way to make me cry on a bus.  Oh well.  147 days until I'm there again.

2.) Physical Fitness Endeavors

Tough Mudder - I survived!  I skipped over quite a few obstacles, and wanted to quit when I saw mile 5.  I stuck with it though and made it through the whole thing (again... skipping over anything that had to do with arm strength... and the first electric shock obstacle; crawl through water with live electric wires dangling on you did not sound very attractive to me at the time.)  I crossed the finish line without falling over, and pretty much completed at 12+ mile hike through insane hills, thick mud, freezing cold water, rocky terrain, and of course, the lovely obstacles.

My worried look on the bus heading to the event.  Yes, the girls on my team put on bright red lipstick for the event.

The next picture is my team after the course.  My friend turned the picture into a wonderful graphic!
Words are particularly true for me...I took like 5 small sips and threw it out.
They should have had some wine, or Gatorade.  Pretty sure I would have drank all of the Gatorade at the end of the day.

I also participated in the Color Me Rad 5k in Philly two weeks ago.  I ran most of it - walked for around 5 minutes of the 40 minutes we were on the course.  Here are some pictures from that:

So much color!!!!!

 3.) Broadway Musicals
Yes, I got to go back to NYC to see two Broadway show.  First was Wicked - which I loved immensely!  I've been waiting to see it since my Junior/Senior year of high school.  The music in that musical means a lot to me.  "Defying Gravity" is one of my top inspirational songs, and I sang "For Good" at my high school graduation.  Needless to say, I laughed, cried, and loved the show.  The second show was Phantom of the Opera.  We surprised my mom with this.  On mothers day, we gave her a "We're going to NYC on May 26th."  She she was thinking it was going to be a normal day, but we walked by the theater once we got there and told her we had to see the matinee of Phantom.  She cried.  A good cry.  The show was just an amazing spectacle to see and hear.  Though I'm not the biggest fan of the story, the music is magical, and the effects (visual and sound) were awesome!

Lunch in Central Park before seeing Phantom.
Family photo-op - Mom was so happy that day!  Not sure how we're going to top it next year.

 4.) Random events
I went to a wedding... and had my first mimosa.  (Made with Verdi wine.  I need to remember that one.)

Put together two bookcases (with the help of my sister.)

 Relayed for Life
 Ingrid Michaelson concert!
Marissa and Me waiting for the Ingrid Concert in Philly.
In other news: I had two very successful band concerts and a good chorus one!  I've also started singing with the Dave Stahl Sacred Orchestra.  Finished Neil Gaiman's "Stardust," and I'm currently reading "The Pathfinder" which is not my normal read, but I needed a book like it for this point in my life.  I'll blog about that later once I figure more things out.
Though I've had some really difficult moments in the past 2-3 months, I can say that I did not let that stop me enjoy life, or trying new things - which is something I love to do.
